Torpac ProMixer Powder Mixer
Filling capsules? Save time and improve efficiencies with Torpac's ProMixer, a unique blender specifically designed for mixing volumes of powder up to 1 pint / 450 ml in as little as five to 10 minutes. The mixer itself utilizes either the traditional V-shaped container typically associated with this type of blender or Torpac's innovative new Drum Shell. The V-shell requires that ingredients be equally loaded through both openings for even distribution, which requires propping the container up. Drum Shells are filled through one opening and able to stand on their own, making them faster and easier to use, plus they are less expensive.
- Rotation speed, time and direction are set via a conveniently placed front control panel.
- The control panel is supported by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), a digital computer resistant to vibration and impact.
- Time can be set from 1 to 60 minutes with typical mixing time 5-10 minutes.
- Rotation can be reversed to improve homogeneity with setting times between 1 sec and 50 min.
- Mixer rotation stops when safety cover is opened to prevent injury.
- Both Drum Shells and V-Shells mix powders evenly with low shear stress and no heat generation, resulting in minimal change in particle size distribution and no chemical degradation.
- Shell lids incorporate an agitator blade to break up lumps and deliver uniform results.
- Shells have a mirror finish and are electro polished for smooth powder flow and easy cleaning.
- Mixer and shells are made from Inox 316 Stainless Steel for increased corrosion resistance, durability and GMP compliance.

Shell sizes are based on air volume. Recommended volume ensures complete mixing within 5-10 minutes. Larger volume increases mixing time exponentially; smaller volume can result in poor mixing. Actual volumes will vary based on the powder blend.
